Strawberry Festival 2016, Part 1

On Saturday, we were supposed to go to the Sri Venkateswara Temple in New Jersey but due to continuous rain and temperature dropping, we changed it to Sunday. However, after lunch at home, we remembered the Strawberry Festival @ Peddler’s Village and headed over. In addition, I invited one of my closest friends to meet us in the heart of the village.

While walking along the cobblestone and pebble-filled streets, we were listening to classical country music by a young musician.

    

The flag above in the bookshelf is one of the emblems of England. Funny how I remembered that I have this same exact flag in my collections box from studying abroad in Wales.

As part of our self-guided tour, we did honey and tea tastings outside the art store.

Cranberry honey was my favorite.

Island Berry tasted exactly like a Tahiti beach entrance into a luxury villa (HGTV moment).

  

We purchased strawberries and whip cream in a bowl and chocolate-covered strawberries as well.

  

Stopped by my favorite chocolate shop in town…Skip’s Candy Corner

  

I had to take a picture of the Hello Kitty candy because this it reminds me of a person who loves her products.

 I looked back before going onward to the Artisan Fair and took this picture. A calm, US flag on the side of a lamp post.

My friend did meet my family while enjoying strawberry scones and you’ll see her more in Part 2 which will cover the Artisan Fair which was held in an open grass parking lot.
